Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has some room for improvement. The executive room I stayed in was a bit off due to a noisy boiler or pump nearby, which made it difficult to sleep. The room felt a bit old, and the heating wasn't on. However, there was a pleasant surprise as we found something left in our room by mistake.
The hotel is situated in a lovely rural setting, convenient for the motorway and Chelmsford. The rooms were cozy despite being a bit too warm due to the unseasonal weather. The service was attentive, although reception and bar occasional staffing issues. The dining experience was delightful, especially for those craving juicy burgers. The location offers a refreshing natural setting, though a bit dark for evening runs. Facilities were good overall.
My stay at the hotel was quite mixed. The rooms could have been better maintained and lacked some essential features, but the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The location was convenient for the event I was attending, but there were some cleanliness issues that impacted the overall experience.
